Ross FinTech Group, LLC was founded by Dr. James Ross, the firm's owner and lead analyst, who holds a doctoral degree and brings more than 20 years of financial forecasting, planning, and reporting experience across healthcare, higher education, government, nonprofit, and corporate finance. His track record includes leading a successful financial system conversion, implementing financial reporting dashboards, and creating and managing over $2 billion in budgets — building the reporting and forecasting systems that leaders rely on to make confident decisions.
His work sits at the intersection of rigor and clarity: modified zero-based budgeting, revenue variance analysis, and cost-reduction strategies — including initiatives that cut departmental budgets by 20%. As a former Assistant Professor of Finance, James is as comfortable explaining the numbers as he is building them.
Dr. Ross holds a doctoral degree, a Master of Science in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He has completed the CFP Capstone certification and passed the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.
